This week Orlando Sentinel tourism reporters Dewayne Bevil and Katie Rice discuss the first Halloween Horror Nights house of 2022, changes to Disney’s Genie+, a parade that is leaving and the return of some establishments that bring the glitter. Universal Orlando has announced the first of its haunted houses for the 2022 edition of HHN will feature three classic monsters: Dracula, the Mummy and the Wolf Man. Beginning June 8, Walt Disney World guests will no longer be able to buy skip-the-line Genie+ ahead of their visit to the theme parks and could face limited availability of the service when they arrive. Universal’s Superstar Parade is ending at Universal Studios on June 4, concluding a 10-year run in the streets of the theme park. Walt Disney World is planning to reopen Magic Kingdom’s Harmony Barber Shop this summer, and Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is set to stage a comeback this year as well.
