Key West’s iconic restaurant and bar — Sloppy Joe’s Orlando — is now open at Icon Park on International Drive.
Originally opened on the day that prohibition was lifted in 1933, Sloppy Joe’s in Key West has grown from a bustling bar into a Florida staple.
At the new 4,725-square-foot Icon Park location, the Key West atmosphere is placed right in the heart of the Orlando Entertainment District. Guests can sit back and relax in the casual dining restaurant as they grab a bite to eat, enjoy one of Joe’s famous cocktails, or enjoy the entertainment on offer, as the restaurant will host a variety of bands and musical artists every day.
“We’re excited to bring the spirit of Key West to the Orlando Entertainment District,” said David Manuchia, owner of Sloppy Joe’s and president of Restaurant Partners, Inc. “With its endless entertainment options and ideal location, Icon Park is the perfect home for our first Central Florida concept. Guests are going to love our laidback, tropical atmosphere and delicious eats!”
Menu offerings include everything from island favorites like Fried Key West Shrimp and Conch Fritters, to burgers, Luau Salad and more. Sloppy Joe’s is also known for its tropical drinks, like the award-winning Sloppy Rita or the Hemingway Mojito — inspired by one of the bar’s first supporters, award-winning author Ernest Hemingway.
“We’re thrilled to add another famously unique concept to Icon Park’s ever-growing lineup,” said Chris Jaskiewicz, president and CEO of Icon Park. “Sloppy Joe’s is an excellent addition to our selection of world-class restaurants and attractions.”
