Six Flags Great Adventure’s Holiday in the Park, drive-thru to offer holiday operation and New Year’s Eve fireworks

The Holiday in the Park and Holiday in the Park Drive-Thru Experience at Six Flags Great Adventure will operate daily through the holidays for the first time ever — including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day!

In addition to offering their holiday experiences through the end of the season, the park will also host a New Year’s Eve fireworks show at 9 p.m.

Highlights of Holiday in the Park include:

  • Millions of lights, festive fare, roller coasters, family rides, and holiday entertainment
  • A Festive Fireside section, featuring the new Jersey Devil Coaster, Chris P. Sizzle character, and holiday eats at Jersey Devil BBQ; a new light show in Merry Market Place and Wild Lights National Park; new entertainment from magician Doc Swan, and breakdancing elves; Lil’ Devil Coaster for kids, and Starbucks coffee served at Sweet Treats
  • New Year’s Eve Fireworks to ring in the new year on Dec. 31 at 9 p.m. in A Main Street Christmas, free with park admission
  • Operating Schedule: Dec. 23, and daily from Dec. 26 – Jan. 2, including New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Highlights of the Holiday in the Park Drive-Thru Experience include:

  • Experience the beauty of the park from the comfort of your own vehicle
  • New for this year is a new, longer course, and a new walk-through experience in Merry Market Place with fire pits, visits with Santa, holiday shopping, games, a “dancing” tree show, holiday spirits, and holiday dinner at the Holiday Feastival
  • Pets are permitted inside Merry Market Place, except for the Holiday Feastival, and are welcome to take photos with Santa
  • Operating Calendar: Daily from Dec. 20-22, Dec. 24-25, and Jan. 7-9 (Reservations are required)

Due to Santa’s busy schedule on Dec. 24-25, the Looney Tunes characters will pose for photos in his place. Santa will return to the North Pole on Jan. 3 and will not be available from Jan. 7-9.

Reservations are required for the Drive-Thru experience, and large or commercial vehicles are not permitted.

These events are included with all active Memberships and Season Passes to Six Flags Great Adventure. For more details, visit
