Orlando Fringe 2022 review: ‘Spill the Tea with Jaimz and Johnnie’ | Things to Do | Orlando

Large university discussion club satisfies SAK Comedy Lab in Spill the Tea with Jaimz and Johnnie, a fifty percent-hour improvisational argument held on the lawn outside the house Orlando Science Middle. Corsets & Cuties founder “Lady” Jaimz Dillman and Johnnie Maier (Thankskilling) solicit subjects from the viewers, and have to each individual choose a stand for or against — with the disclaimer that their statements don’t always mirror their individual views or the Fringe’s — until the group phone calls a halt to the fray.

The press preview functionality was greatly gynocentric, with women’s rights, the usefulness of bras and the uselessness of gentlemen on the agenda. The pair retained the verbal badminton bouncing again and forth, and even though both lobbed political jabs preaching to the progressive choir (specifically when the concern of abortion arose), their rallying resonated with the engaged contributors. These two might not be ready to address all the world’s problems in 30 minutes, but they’ve got 25 chances in excess of the system for the competition to at minimum make a dent.
