Gaylord Palms will celebrate Easter and springtime with its annual “Once Upon a Spring” event, happening March 4-May 14, 2023.

The resort and convention center in Kissimmee will host special family activities surrounded by beautiful floral décor. At Adventure Kids’ Clubhouse, little ones can paint their own flowerpots, and on the Spring-A-Long scavenger hunt, guests follow prompts from an activity book through a 4.5-acre garden. Those who complete the hunt receive a “springtime surprise.”
For a more involved challenge, guests can head to the Pirate’s Treasure Escape Room. As the story goes, a pirate named Emerald is the wife of Captain Hornswaggle. Emerald needs guests’ help to raid the captain’s quarters for treasure. Of course, this being an escape room, that’s accomplished by solving puzzles and playing games.
Tech-savvy families can also embark on the Wildlife Rescue virtual animal safari. Using the resort’s app, they’ll discover endangered animals appearing through augmented reality.
The Atrium Blooms Day and Night
In the Gaylord Palms atrium, guests will find the Eggspression Garden. Throughout the walk-through trail, families can pose for photos with Easter eggs and enjoy the sights and smells of thousands of flowers.
By night, the “Bloom” animated light curtain in the atrium, displays iridescent sights to match the season.
More “Once Upon a Spring” Fun on Saturdays
On Saturdays during “Once Upon a Spring,” Gaylord Palms offers even more fun, including a live show in the atrium starring Seth the sea turtle, Ava the alligator, and Adventure Kid Sophie. Also on Saturdays, film fans can catch a “Dive-In Movie” from the pool within the resort’s Cypress Springs water park.
On Saturdays through April 8, 2023, Mr. Easter Bunny will be on hand to greet guests – and on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023, Mrs. Easter Bunny will join him.
Easter Sunday Buffet
The resort’s Villa de Flora restaurant will host a special buffet on Easter Sunday featuring antipasto, jumbo shrimp cocktail, cold-water oysters, citrus-brined chicken, gourmet salads, a pasta station, leg of lamb, prime rib, and smoked ham, just to name a few options. The buffet is $75 for adults and $35 for children (ages 4-12). Diners can make reservations here.
