Fifteen years ago, Mall of America and Nickelodeon teamed up to create the first-ever Nickelodeon Universe indoor theme park, which opened on March 15, 2008. Since then, millions of guests have enjoyed the seven-acre park’s 27 rides, attractions, and character favorites, including SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Fairly OddParents, and PAW Patrol,

In honor of the occasion, Mall of America will host Nickelodeon-themed events throughout the year. The Nickelodeon fun starts with the park’s birthday week.
Kids’ Choice Awards Party
In preparation for the 2023 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, Mall of America says they will roll out the orange carpet from 3-5 p.m.for a pre-party before the awards show on March 4, 2023. Mall of America also says guests are encouraged to stop by the Huntington Bank Rotunda area for free specialty slime tattoos, characters, crazy hair stations, a “Do-It-Yourself” slime station, and party swag bags. The mall will show the Kids’ Choice Awards on the big screen at 6 p.m.
