New Orlando Fringe program offers rising arts companies chance to produce shows downtown

Elen Salzburg March 29, 2023

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando Fringe’s new downtown space is launching its own program aimed at helping art companies and organizations grow.

The 18-month incubator program, The Collective, supports emerging artists in producing two full-run shows at the year-round Fringe ArtSpace. The shows workshopped in the program with other Collective members will be introduced in the spring 2024 season.

“We are able to offer programming throughout the year and really like amplify artists’ voices and give them a space to work and produce and learn and teach each other,” Genevieve Bernard, program manager at the Orlando Fringe Festival, said in a previous interview with News 6.

Orlando Fringe will conduct a round of in-person interviews with finalist candidates and select three companies or organizations for the inaugural cohort.

The winners will be announced in May.
