Native Angeleno gets the call for ‘Hamilton’

Soon after 17 months and 523 days, the curtain rises on “Hamilton,” the Tony Award-winning musical, published and scored by Lin-Manuel Miranda.

“Hamilton” tells the story of American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton’s tenacious pursuit to go away an imprint on a region coming of age. Properly, he’s not the only just one who failed to throw absent his shot. Los Angeles indigenous Ruben J. Carbajal portrays the dual position of John Laurens and Philip Hamilton. Our own Melvin Robert dives deep into how Carbajal got the component.
