The Mount Dora Arts Pageant will come to Central Florida this weekend, with a great deal of art, food items, enjoyment and eclectic creatives from all around the earth.
The 48th annual fine arts competition, offered by Mount Dora Middle for the Arts, is free to go to and will showcase more than 250 artists alongside downtown Mount Dora’s historic streets, at 510 N. Baker St., Mount Dora. The celebration takes place Saturday, Feb. 4, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 5, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Along with the wide array of artwork on display, friends can enjoy drinks, food and stay new music.
This year’s competition showcases 2023 poster artist Lisa Marie, a South Carolina-based mostly painter who takes advantage of vivid hues and styles to depict animals, crops and the organic environment. Other 2023 highlighted artists involve sculptor and ceramic artist Jane Wood, present-day impressionist Kenneth Halvorsen, and metalsmith and dimensional jewelry artist Emma Stuive.
