Mickey’s Toontown at Disneyland to close for about a year

“Mickey’s Toontown in Disneyland park will soon begin its transformation into a vibrant symphony of sights, sounds, and sensations with some all-new experiences, more play, and interactivity for our guests, with a focus on families and young children,” wrote Disneyland Resort Public Relations Director Kelsey Lynch in the Disney Parks Blog.

When Mickey’s Toontown reopens in 2023, it will not only be home to the exciting new Mickey and Minnie-themed ride-through attraction, but also the beloved Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin ride and both Mickey’s and Minnie’s Houses. In addition, Gadget’s Go Coaster, Goofy’s House, and Donald’s Boat will be reimagined along with the pals’ cartoon neighborhood that will offer new play experiences and family-friendly landscaping perfect for playtime (not to mention all-important parental relaxation time).

If you want to catch one last look at Mickey’s Toontown before the transformation begins, be sure to visit Disneyland Resort between now and March 8, 2022.
