Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is offering discounted tickets for the week of Sept. 12 to residents of Orange, Seminole, Osceola and Volusia counties.
One-day admission to the attractions will be $19 ($14 for children 3-11). One-day tickets are normally $75 and $65.
The deal, called the 2022 Mercury Offer, is part of an effort to draw canned goods and nonperishable food items that will be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank from visitors. A donation is not required to receive the discounted ticket.

Proof of residency — a driver license or utility bill — is required to get the discounted rate. Admission must be purchased at the attraction on the date of entry. The offer cannot be combined with any other ticket offer to the visitor complex.
Also in the fine print: blockout dates may apply for launches and special events. At this time, the twice-delayed launch of Artemis I has not been officially rescheduled.
In a separate deal called Future Voyagers 2022, a child between the ages of 3 and 11 gets into the complex for free with a paying adult. The offer is available through Sept. 30 and is available online.
The attraction’s most recent addition is Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex, which looks into upcoming innovations of space exploration from both NASA and its commercial partners. It includes flown relics, proposals and simulations of outer-space travel. It debuted this spring.
