LOS ANGELES — The festival celebrating all things K-pop will stop at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena Aug. 18-20. In a video announcement on Twitter Tuesday, KCON added LA to its roster and another stop in Japan May 12-14, in addition to its 2023 kickoff show in Thailand in March.
KCON hasn’t yet announced the lineup for the LA festival, which also includes panels and an expo showcasing Korean beauty, food and culture. The Thailand fest will feature BamBam, iKON and (G)I-DLE.
Stray Kids headlined last year’s KCON in LA, drawing 90,000 fans to a lineup that also included ITZY, Bebe Rexha, The Boyz and Kep1er. KCON launched in LA in 2012 and has since made stops in New York, Tokyo, Bangkok and Abu Dhabi.
