Kathy Griffin has revealed that she is undergoing surgery for lung most cancers and her physicians are optimistic she “should be up and running all around as normal in a thirty day period or considerably less.”
The comedian took to Instagram and Twitter Monday to say her most cancers was caught early and confined to her still left lung. The surgical procedures will end result in 50 percent her remaining lung remaining eliminated.
“It’s been a helluva 4 many years, seeking to get again to get the job done, earning you guys chortle and entertaining you, but I’m gonna be just good,” she wrote. “Please continue to be up to day on your clinical test ups.”
Well-wishers integrated Jane Lynch, who wrote on Twitter: “I’m beaming out to you all my enjoy and vibes for good wellness,” and Ashley Nicole Black, who wrote: “Praying for you! So quite a few people bought your back!”
Griffin has had a tumultuous couple many years, like dealing with backlash in 2017 for using component in a photoshoot that confirmed her holding up a pretend bloody head resembling president Donald Trump. Her sister, Joyce Griffin, died of most cancers in September 2017 and her mother, Maggie Griffin, died in March 2020 just after battling dementia.
