Get ready to let the good times roll with savory cuisines inspired by carnavals from around the world, an energetic parade, live music and lots and lots of beads. Easily one of the most vibrant and fun parts of the year at the Universal Orlando Resort, Mardi Gras is returning from February, 4-April, 16 in 2023.
Next spring, this annual celebration goes beyond the bayou with Universal’s Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval. This offering will run daily February, 4-April, 16 at the Universal Studios Florida park.
The parkwide celebration will transform Universal Studios Florida into “Florida’s biggest party,” complete with cuisine inspired by Carnaval celebrations from New Orleans to Brazil to Belgium and beyond. Plus, on select nights, there will be a lively parade filled with vibrant floats where partygoers can catch beads by the handful. Special guests and passholders may even get the opportunity to be a part of this parade offering. And on select nights, guests can cap the festivities with live concerts by top names in music. As of this time, no specific bands have been announced for the 2023 Mardi Gras festivities.
This past spring, Universal Orlando highlighted the fan-favorite Mardi Gras parade floats with a limited-time tribute store design. These tribute stores are getting more elaborate every year, so we are eager to see the 2023 design.
The Mardi Gras parade is the major showstopper for this annual event. And, if you want to feel the energy of an amped-up crowd, you don’t wanna miss this. Buckwheet Zydeco’s, “My Feet Can’t Fail Me Now,” will be blasting in the park as tens of thousands of beads are tossed to the crowds.
Access to Universal’s Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval is included with regular admission to Universal Studios Florida. More details about the event, including the concert lineup and dates, the selection of food and beverage items, and the parade’s theme will be revealed soon. Head to the Universal Orlando Mardi Gras website to learn more.
