Icon Park has added a 30-figure carousel to its ride lineup at the International Drive entertainment complex.
The Carousel on the Promenade is now spinning with creatures such as horses, zebras, deer and sea dragons. The look is based on hard-carved carousels from the late 1800s and early 1900s.
“The Carousel on the Promenade is the first ride of its kind in the Orlando Entertainment District. We’re extremely proud to introduce our second owned and operated attraction to guests,” Chris Jaskiewicz, president and CEO of Icon Park, said in a news release. Icon Park, which opened in 2015, also operates the 400-foot Wheel.
The 36-foot attraction was created by Chance Rides, based in Wichita, Kansas.
The carousel costs $5 per rider, and adults ride free with a paid child. Children up to 2 years old ride free with a paid adult.
