Hurricane Ian – Theme Park and Attraction Closings and Updates

With Hurricane Ian getting ever closer to Central Florida, keep an eye on this page to see how it affects the area’s theme parks and attractions.

Here are the current updates for Central Florida’s parks and attractions. We will update this page throughout the storm as more information is shared:

Walt Disney World Resort

As of now, all four Walt Disney World theme parks, as well as Disney Springs, will operate as normal.

  • Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon will close Wednesday, September 28 and Thursday, September 29.
  • The Winter Summerland Miniature Golf and Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf will close Wednesday, September 28 and Thursday, September 29.
  • Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campgrounds, Copper Creek Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and the Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will temporarily close Wednesday, September 28 through Friday, September 30. Guests in these accommodations will be contacted by Disney for different lodging.

Universal Orlando Resort

As of now, no closures or cancellations have been announced by the Universal Orlando Resort.

SeaWorld Orlando

As of now, Aquatica and SeaWorld Orlando will operate as normal.

• Discovery Cove will be closed on Wednesday, September 28 and Thursday, September 29.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay

 Busch Gardens Tampa Bay will be closed on Wednesday, September 28 and Thursday, September 29.

Legoland Florida

As of now, no closures or cancellations have been announced by the Legoland Florida Resort.

Fun Spot Orlando/Kissimmee

As of now, no closures or cancellations have been announced by Fun Spot Orlando or Kissimmee.

ZooTampa

ZooTampa will be closed Tuesday, September 27 through Thursday, September 29.

Museum of Science and Industry, Tampa Bay

MOSI will be closed beginning Tuesday, September 27 through Thursday, September 29.
