The bill that will get rid of the present-day electrical power composition at Walt Disney World’s Reedy Creek Improvement District as it stands now passed the Florida Senate on Thursday.
The district’s board has 5 users currently and with the passing of this invoice, new board associates will be picked by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis after the payments becomes regulation.
When the monthly bill to dissolve the RCID was passed about a year ago, numerous people felt that DeSantis was hunting to punish Disney for its stance on the typically referred to “Don’t Say Gay” bill.
This new invoice seemingly provides DeSantis the freedom of picking the new board users, which some opponents see as a “power seize.”
We’ll proceed to supply updates to this story as they become offered.
