“Harmonious,” the end-of-night spectacular at Epcot, will be livestreamed on Disney+ on June 21, and it will feature a live orchestra, international vocalists and an appearance by host Idina Menzel.
The event, tied to World Music Day, will include Auli’i Cravalho, who gave voice to the title character in “Moana,” alongside Menzel, known in Disney circles for portraying Elsa in “Frozen” and “Frozen II.”
“Harmonious” is built on a medley of reinterpreted Disney music backed by fireworks, fountains, lights, lasers and giant screens in the World Showcase Lagoon. The soundtrack, which is presented in several languages, was recorded by 240 artists from around the globe. It includes “Aladdin,” “Coco,” “The Lion King” “Moana” and “Mulan,” among others.
The show debuted as part of Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration on Oct. 1, following on the heels of long-running “IllumiNations” and pandemic-interrupted “Epcot Forever” productions.
