David Bowie will get the royal treatment method from the Enzian

The Enzian Theater is celebrating the impending release of the new David Bowie doc Moonage Desire with a 7 days of Bowie-centric cinematic fare.

Of course, Moonage will not drop till Sept. 23 but the Maitland arthouse cinema is receiving a head-get started with a slate of films showcasing Bowie’s not-inconsiderable acting capabilities operating from Sept. 9-16.

The timetable for ‘Bowie Week’ seems to be like this:

Sept. 9-14
Labyrinth
Bowie  in  goblin method!

The Guy Who Fell to Earth
Bowie portrays an alien, but also kind of just performs himself circa the 1970s.

Sept. 9-15
The Hunger
Bowie as a brooding vampire. Bauhaus in the opening!

Sept. 10-13
Merry Xmas Mr. Lawrence
Bowie plays a British POW, practically nothing glib to say about the WWII drama. (Ryuichi Sakamoto of Yellow Magic Orchestra is in the movie much too for 2 times the musical muscle mass.)

Tickets are readily available for these screenings as a result of the Enzian’s internet site.
