Dezerland Action Park will play host to FamilyFest Orlando, an event featuring displays with resources that promote parenting goods and services, on Saturday.
Also in the mix are an exhibit from Orlando Science Center, a crawling race for babies, a race for toddler between the ages of 12 and 24 months, cornhole, sand art and ring toss.
Participants can pick up a FamilyFest passport upon arrival. If they get that document stamped at all festival vendors, they can redeem it for up to $80 in buy-one-get-one good at Dezerland attractions including the Orlando Auto Museum, Jump Start trampoline park and others. Each vendor has a family-friendly activity.
Admission is free but limited to five tickets. VIP packages — which include six tickets, one-hour-early admission to the expo and a digital copy of “Extraordinary Parenting: How to Raise Kids to Become Geniuses” — sell for $25. The VIP option is available online only.
FamilyFest hours are noon to 6 p.m. Saturday.
Dezerland, located on the northern end of International Drive in Orlando, features other for-pay activities, including a go-kart track, glow-in-the-dark miniature golf, bowling and Gamerz Delight arcade.
