Daytona Lagoon water park is reopening Saturday after last year’s season was cut short in the wake of Hurricane Ian.
The attraction is planning new events and improvements to the park, including a new restaurant, new cabanas and upgrades to the restrooms.
“We have missed seeing our water-park patrons and all of the excitement from the kids that it brings,” general manager Tyler Currie said in a news release. “We also can’t wait to introduce new fun experiences, along with new upgrades.”
Special events kick off in early June. Daytona Lagoon’s summer character series begins June 5 with interactions with Red and Chuck from Angry Birds. Upcoming themes include princesses, superheroes and “Diary of a Wimpy Kid.”

Family Night will be held on Wednesdays starting June 7. Participants can get admission, music, games and prizes from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. for $22.99 per person.
The park is introducing Friday Night Luaus on June 9 with hula dancers and fire-swallowing performances. The price is $25.99; the luaus will be held weekly through Aug. 11.
Season passholders get free admission to Family Night and Friday Night Luaus events as well as access to the water park every day. Season passes sell for $109.99. Daytona Lagoon’s Super Season passes, which sell for $169.99, include unlimited access to go-karts, laser tag, miniature golf, ropes course, rock wall and bumper cars at Fun Park. Both pass levels include discounts for food, merchandise, locker rentals and other benefits.

General admission single day tickets are $42.99 Monday-Thursday and $49.99 Friday-Sunday. There are discounts for online advance purchases, Florida residents, visitors under 48 inches tall, and visitors who are age 62 and older.
