Check out how some local kids are spending February vacation

WORCESTER, Mass. – It’s February Vacation for the Worcester Public Schools and residents like Bill Hoey are taking the time to be active with their families.

“It’s a great experience getting them outside, getting them out of the house, keeping them active,” Hoey said on Tuesday at Central Rock Gym in Worcester. “A lot of it is rock climbing, a lot of core muscles activated and it keeps them fit, keeps them off the coach, away from the TV.”

Central Rock Gym is one of the many facilities in the city opening its doors for student activity during February vacation.

Worcester rescinded its city-wide mask mandate last week, and city residents are using their vacation time to adjust to life with fewer COVID restrictions.
