As quite a few of you probable know, The Wave… of American Flavors at Disney’s Contemporary Resort closed back in July for a complete overhaul and name alter. The new restaurant, Steakhouse 71, is established to reopen on Friday, October 1st in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney Earth.
These days, as part of a hosted media function, we had been equipped to see inside the restaurant in all of its new glory and thought we’d share our feelings with all of you.
Initially, as you can see in the impression over, the blue entry “tunnel” is no more time. A significantly additional innovative entryway now welcomes visitors and invitations them to appreciate some artwork that options not only Walt Disney himself, but photographs from some of the incredibly early phases of Walt Disney Environment.
As you make your way into the restaurant, you will see that what was once frequently referred to as the “blue room” now has extra of a mid-century vibe identical to some of the seating locations in the Resort’s foyer. Who else Loves that lighting?

When I very first noticed the inside of the restaurant, it felt rather cafeteria-like to me but it’s now escalating on me a little bit extra now. It certainly gives off a retro vibe.
I have to say that I’m in adore with this new Mary Blair artwork lining a person of the partitions inside the restaurant! I can not get plenty of of her parts and this ties in beautifully with the new décor from the lobby.
What are your ideas on the new glimpse? I know we nevertheless really do not have windows, but lovers of the Bacon & Eggs appetizer will be thrilled to know that it is indeed back again!
